Today's topic is a special feature, behind the scenes look at writing a novel. This post features a very short video preview of the book. (Bonus points if you find the Easter Egg!)
As weird as it might sound to those of us who live on the written word, the video work ends up catching more eyes and captures the attention. Matt Madonna has been the brains behind the artwork, and he put together this video trailer.
Don’t underestimate the power of multi-media to capture the eyes for your actual writing. It’s not easy and I find I’d rather just write, but sometimes a different medium can change the way you communicate things.
This is one reason why I record voice-overs for all my Sunday Essays because I find it helps me catch issues in my writing that I miss in text alone. Hearing the words sometimes matters as much as reading them. At a minimum, it’s a different framing.
The book is on sale now in Hardcover and Paperback at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Most other eBook Readers
I hope you enjoy it and let me know your thoughts in the comments!
There’s been interest expressed in more behind the scenes insights into writing so I may do this as a mid-week supplement throughout the year.

These types of "behind the curtain" posts are really cool. I could not agree more that multimedia is really important for raising awareness of your writing! Well done, Mike, and congratulations again on a successful book launch.
