I always appreciate little peeks behind the curtain. Few folks would think a cover and its art (and the words, to boot!) would be so important, but this lays bare exactly why that first appearance matters so much.
Thanks! I'm beginning to realize the little idiosyncracies that I discount are valuable insights for others who are just considering the adventure.of writing.
I'm sure you've got dozens of stories for how essays pivoted under your fingertips while you wrote.
I realized that once I hit like 300 articles, I could theoretically make an entirely new article from just the titles of all my previous stuff, no additional words, and that piece would be over a thousand words itself. I could just link to every piece and craft something that makes sense from those words. I would just need a few years to piece it all together!
Great prom8otion video Michael. The one thorny issue with the possibilities and probabilities with AI integration is the defacto origin of the tech. Fear mongering that it's too dangerous for the masses to figure out and implement, therefore the usual suspects get control and the vast wealth, they will squander. It's now so blatantly obvious now, the script is always the same. Just thinking back to Y2K, it should ring some bells.

Yep, and some of those are even inspired by art. I like it when the words get pushed around by the art, and vice versa. It's a cool interplay.
What folks see first is so incredibly important.
I've gone back and updated some of my essay art from when I first published to look more aligned with the rest. Not many but a few.
I kinda view it as "a card laid is a card played", but clearly we have different things going on!
But also: I like that my articles form a kind of self-referencing network. Yours do, too. It's like our own little personal wikipedias.
I do like that. But the themes we've together a lot. It'd be absurd to not connect them.

I completely agree with that. It's an annoying script when no one sees it over and over again.
Cool background behind it. For what it's worth, I do like 'green girl' more. It just draws you in.
lol. Thanks!
This is really fun. I have the original cover and I like it but I also really like the new cover. The story behind the two is great!
Awesome! I love them both in different ways. Hopefully I don't have to change the book 2 cover!
